Investment Objective
The fundamental investment objective of the Fund is to provide investors with long-term capital growth primarily by investing in a diversified portfolio of securities of Canadian public companies in accordance with Islamic investment principles
Investment Strategies
To achieve its fundamental investment objective, under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest:
- at least 95% of its portfolio in securities of public companies within the Dow Jones Islamic Market Canada IndexSM (the “Index”); and
- up to 5% of the Fund’s portfolio in securities of private issuers considered to be in compliance with Islamic investment principles by the Investment Manager in consultation with the Shari’ah Advisory Committee formed by the Manager of the Fund
Collectively, (a) and (b) are called the “Shari’ah Compliant Companies”
